Thank you for visiting Racing Performance Ministries. We are actively involved in ministry with those in the racing community. There is no doubt that the racing experience is a rush to the finish line as well as a rush for the participants and fans who are observing. Our ministry is to walk beside those in the racing community and prepare them to be ready when they reach the ultimate finish line of life.

Life Issues Studies

LIS (Life Issues Studies) Small groups gather on evenings at the track on race weekends through which we hope to help people deal with life’s issues using the Scriptures. Additionally, many race shops allow RPM to hold weekly or monthly study groups at their respective facilities. During the off season I have decided to try and stay more in touch with each and everyone of my racing family members. This is why I’ve set up a Live Streaming Video each and every month on the first Sunday of the month. Providing Care

The world of powerboat racing can be extremely stressful for the participants and their families due to the demands on personal time as well as the obvious physical dangers. RPM cares for the individuals by providing chaplaincy, counseling and visitation, and personal support through difficult times. In the event of injury, RPM can relay information to the injured person’s family, comfort them, and provide hospital transportation.

Sharing Knowledge

RPM offers opportunities for the racing community to learn and grow in knowledge of God through Life Issues Studies (LIS) held at the various race shops, prayer time (individually and collectively) and chapel services at the track.Small group gatherings are offered on race weekends to further study and explore Biblical applications to their busy lives. Interested individuals can also arrange for private Bible study with an RPM chaplain or designated representative.

Chapel Services

There are chapel services held each weekend for the racing community. Included in attendance will be the competitors, families, news media, officials, rescue personnel and fans.

Mission Statement

The mission of Racing Performance Ministries (RPM ) is to introduce the racing community (racers and fans) to a personal faith in Christ, growth in Christ likeness, and active involvement in a local church, through relationships that provide care, sharing knowledge of God’s word, and assistance in developing their leadership skills.RPM is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization founded in 2003 by Jim Black. We do this working with the powerboat racing community, racers, and fans primarily in these ways.
